European wildfires set to burn record area in 2022: EFFIS
Just over 660,000 hectares of land has been burned by wildfires across Europe during 2022, a significant increase from the 15-year average of almost 190,000 hectares at this point in the year, according to the European Forest Fire Information System (EFFIS).
