Progressive to pass $1.2bn of Ian losses to reinsurers
Progressive in September incurred $760mn of net catastrophe losses, or 19.6 loss ratio points, from Hurricane Ian, with reinsurers set to take $1.2bn of the personal lines giant’s $1.4bn gross losses in its property business from the storm.
