Helene named as tropical storm amid forecasts of major hurricane landfall in Florida
Forecast models continue to point to a major hurricane landfall along the northeast Gulf Coast or Florida’s West Coast later this week, with Potential Tropical Cyclone 9 having now been upgraded to Tropical Storm Helene by the National Hurricane Center.
