TWIA set to seek around $1bn in additional reinsurance
The Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA) has begun to prepare for its 2024 reinsurance placement with Gallagher Re and Gallagher Securities, with the expectation it will need to secure around $1bn in additional limit from traditional and capital markets sources to meet its statutory funding requirement for a 1-in-100-year event.
