KBRA: Florida carriers’ capital positions strengthened but elevated hurricane frequency a threat
Florida homeowners insurers have benefited from higher premium volumes, lower loss ratios and growth in policyholder surpluses in 2023, research from KBRA has shown, but the ratings agency cautioned that elevated hurricane frequency “may challenge the generally improved capital positions”.
