BMS: Lower end of $3bn-$6bn Idalia insured loss estimate more likely following landfall
Noting that Idalia “is not the devastating event that was feared even 24 hours ago”, BMS’s Andrew Siffert on Wednesday said insured losses would likely be at the lower end of the broker’s previous $3bn to $6bn estimate, while Gallagher Re estimated a “low to mid-single-digit” billion dollar loss.
