The Hartford’s Swift: Inflation has “overwhelmed” personal auto as rate hikes near 20%

The Hartford’s CEO Chris Swift has said that the scope and longevity of economic inflation that has dragged down the personal auto segment has “overwhelmed many industry participants” in its persistence, adding that written rate increases in the line are likely to reach 20 percent by year-end.
