Federal panel consolidates Erie’s Covid-19 BI cases into MDL proceeding
The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has centralised 13 cases against Erie Insurance into a proceeding in the Western District of Pennsylvania, the second time the federal panel has taken such action in business interruption (BI) litigation and the latest in a growing number of rulings consolidating such cases in US state and district courts.
