Higher claims and forex shifts push IRB to H1 2020 loss
A higher-than-normal level of claims and the Brazilian Real’s devaluation against the US dollar combined to leave IRB Brasil Re with a net loss of BRL671.2mn ($124.5mn) for 2020’s second quarter, as the company continues to implement plans to restore confidence after this year’s accounting scandals.
