US tornado outbreak adds to another major loss year for severe convective storms
Although currently available information means industry sources are putting a wide range on losses from sub-$5bn to closer to $10bn, it’s clear that Friday’s severe weather outbreak across multiple US states has potential to become the costliest severe convective storm loss of 2021 in what has been another expensive year for the peril.
