Stable US P&C underwriting result masks wide swings across lines
US property casualty insurers’ aggregate combined ratio of 98.7 percent in 2020 was only a 0.3 point improvement on the previous year, according to Fitch, with the ratings agency tipping the industry to improve results further this year.
